The idea for Dockett started with a family member who keeps the books for small businesses. Every month, “invoice day” swallowed hours: keying vendor names, dates, line items and totals into QuickBooks one document at a time. They kept wishing there was a faster way to get invoices into their accounting software.
I knew the pain firsthand. Early in my career I did bookkeeping too, and I spent far too much of it on manual data entry. So I set out to build a tool that gives small businesses and the bookkeepers they rely on their time back: invoices read, checked, and synced in about a minute, without the typing.
I’m the founder, and I answer every support email personally, usually within 24 hours. When a customer hits a snag, I fix the bug and ship the improvement straight from their feedback.
